Industrials REIT is a property investment company and UK REIT listed on both the London Stock Exchange and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. The Company has a portfolio of commercial property currently located in the UK, Germany and Switzerland. Industrials REIT is delivering a strategy to become a specialised UK multi-let industrial (‘MLI’) business and over the next few years plans to sell all of its non-MLI properties through a strategic disposal process, utilising sale proceeds to build its UK MLI business.


BI & Data Engineer – London or Stockport

Industrials REIT has created a new role within the business that will be pivotal in evolving and managing its business intelligence, data architecture and data management service.

This role will work very closely with the finance, asset management, sales, marketing, and operations teams to deliver impactful reporting, data analysis and insights. The role will sit within a growing and evolving technology and data team, offering a fantastic opportunity for this individual to carve out greater responsibility as the business grows, and the technology and data portfolio evolves.


  • Responsible for designing, delivering and maintaining business reports, models and relevant supporting data infrastructure
  • Responsible for analysing trends in data and developing algorithms/data transformations to help make raw data more useful to Industrials REIT
  • Ensuring proactive monitoring of the data layer to prevent potential production issues
  • Manage and resolve data related service tickets
  • Proactively monitor integration points to prevent live incidents
  • Resolving incidents on time to ensure operational impact is minimised
  • Conducting Data modelling and design activities in line with business requirements
  • Develop and improve reporting made available through Power BI and other associated data layer tools
  • Carry out administrative and maintenance tasks in the Data layer, including, Azure Data lake and Data Warehouse
  • Assist in setting and delivering Data Strategies
  • Conduct impact assessment for changes to system or models and produce impact analysis report for review and approval
  • Perform Azure cloud application maintenance and support
  • Own and oversee data migration, import and data onboarding
  • Undertake business data governance and management activities
  • Assist in setting data handling policies
  • Support data security activities



  • Proficiency in Power BI, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Resource Manager and Azure DevOps Release Pipelines (YAML), Dimensional Modelling, Azure Key Vaults
  • Proficiency in SQL, DAX & Power Query
  • Data modelling and system testing expertise
  • Data recovery and security experience
  • Highly analytical, quantitative background


  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools such as: Dataverse, Logic Apps and Dual Write
  • Experience with ERP & CRM systems/data structures, specifically Dynamics 365 Finance & Customer Engagement
  • Experience with embedded Power BI reports (within Dynamics 365)
  • Familiarity with PowerShell scripting
  • Strong business analysis capabilities

Beneficial but not necessary:

  • Experience with Microsoft PowerAutomate, Elastic, Microsoft 365 administration
